Glass doors from the sitting area open onto decking that leads down to a garden with seating and furniture. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. You get private parking for two cars on site.
The location works for couples or small families wanting a base for exploring the fells and lakes nearby. Penrith town centre is close by. The Old URC is within the local area. The garden provides a quiet spot to sit out between days spent walking or visiting the water. No smoking indoors.

Our stay at 4 Mellfell View was absolutely fantastic. From the beautiful internal decor to the glorious surrounding scenery, it was a true breath of fresh air and completely relaxing. The property was exceptionally well-presented, and the layout of the internal spaces was clearly well-thought-out—it flowed and functioned brilliantly for our stay. We loved the charming natural character of the exposed wooden beams in the rooms and the gorgeous cobbled stone wall features along the stairs. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights was waking up to the peaceful sounds of sheep in the hills rather than passing traffic! The location is ideal for exploring Ullswater and the surrounding area while serving as a quiet, cozy retreat to return to. We had a fantastic time and would love to stay again!

Charming, clean, cozy (but not in the small sense of that word), and everything a visitor to England pictures when spending time here. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, a terrific eat-in kitchen, spacious living room, and such lovely views from a neat village with friendly pub at Herdwick Inn. Loved our stay here.
