Nicole and her husband make a great team and could not have been more welcoming. Good location close to the M6 and North Lakes, and excellent value for money for a nice room with breakfast included. Highly recommended!

The bar staff are so lovely and accommodating. I really appreciated it after it raining the entire time we put up our tent. The food was fantastic 10/10 I'd go again!!

Had a very rude encounter here. Walked in for dinner at 7 pm and there were many empty tables (at least 5), yet was brusquely told they were fully booked for the evening. I explained that I was staying across the street without a car, in the hopes that I might be offered to perhaps wait for a table (given there were so many open) and was told just "Take the bus." Left me stranded without a dinner plan - and suspicious I was turned away for a nastier reason.

Stopped for dinner alone but had booked in advance. Limited staff numbers, at the time, but were really friendly and chatty, and standard pub fare was excellent, steak and ale pie recommended. I'd go again!
