About Beckses Caravan Park
Beckses Caravan Park sits in quiet farmland just outside Penrith, offering a genuinely peaceful retreat for exploring the northern Lakes and Eden Valley. The 27 hardstanding pitches are generously sized and well-maintained, with reliable electric hook-ups throughout, while two cosy camping pods provide a weather-proof alternative. Facilities are straightforward but spotless – hot showers, clean toilets, and fresh drinking water – and the owners are consistently praised for their warm, helpful approach.
Dogs are welcome to roam the open fields, making this a popular choice for families travelling with pets. There's no WiFi, which some visitors actually appreciate as part of the escape. While the site itself is simple rather than spectacular, its proximity to Ullswater, Penrith town centre, and the M6 makes it a practical, friendly base that punches well above its modest appearance.

What visitors say
★★★★★ Just returned from an amazing weekend at Beckses Caravan Park in the beautiful Lake District — and what a brilliant find this place is! We stayed in our brand-new caravan on one of their spacious, well-kept touring pitches. The site is spotless, peaceful, and perfectly located for exploring Ullswater, Keswick, Aira Force and the surrounding fells. The facilities are excellent — clean, modern showers and toilets, a handy little shop, and a great play area for families. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A real highlight was getting a sneak peek at their brand-new 2025 glamping pod, which looks absolutely incredible! Modern, stylish, and beautifully built — it’s going to be perfect for couples, families, or anyone after a luxury glamping break in the Lakes. I grabbed some photos of it and can’t wait to book a stay in one myself next time. If you’re after a relaxing, family-friendly site with easy access to some of the Lake District’s most stunning spots, Beckses Caravan Park is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back! #BecksesCaravanPark #LakeDistrictCaravanSite #LakeDistrictGlamping #2025GlampingPods #CampingAndCaravanningUK #UllswaterGetaway #DogFriendlyCamping #KeswickBreaks #StaycationUK #ExploreTheLakeDistrict #FamilyFriendlyCamping #GlampingUK #NewGlampingPods #TouringCaravanLife #SunsetsInTheLakes #PenruddockCamping Top Activities & Places Nearby: 1. This is a great little site very clean and everybody is friendly but unfortunately there is a couple of issues I would like to bring to any visitors to this site. The traffic from.A66 it’s very noticeable in the evenings and through the night you can hear the HGVs all night long and the only other thing is there are no views from the site but don’t get me wrong. The people are very friendly especially the owners you can’t complain about the toilets and showers they are immaculate. It’s just a constant noise from the road..

Perfect, well maintained site with the friendliest staff, cleanest showers and easy access to Penrith. We loved our stay so much we booked again. 10/10

Nice and basic campsite. Not great for children as the play ground is half broken and needs updating. Facilities are a bit dated but clean. Best thing is the location. Near Keswick, supermarket and waterfall.
