Rydal Cottage

Rydal Cottage works well for couples or small families wanting a base in Bowness-on-Windermere. The ground floor holds a living room with woodburner and smart TV, plus a kitchen/dining area with electric oven and induction hob for proper cooking. There's a utility room with washing machine and fridge, a separate toilet, and access to an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a king bed, one with a double—and a shower room with walk-in shower and heated towel rail. One dog or cat can come along. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are provided; parking for one car is included.

The location puts you a few minutes' walk from the village's shops, cafés and restaurants. Lake Windermere itself is at your doorstep for cruises or boat hire. Beatrix Potter World and the Royalty Cinema are both in Bowness. For walks, Orrest Head in Windermere offers views across the lake, and the major fells are a short drive away. No smoking indoors.
