Slingsby Barn
Westmorland and Furness
Through the entrance, Slingsby Barn opens into a layout built for group stays. Ground floor holds two separate living spaces, each with its own wood burner—one of them contains a double sofa bed for flexible sleeping if needed. The kitchen is fitted with a range cooker, dishwasher and everything required for self-catering. Upstairs, four bedrooms provide proper sleeping arrangements: a kingsize with a single bed, two doubles, and a further single. Two bathrooms serve the property, one with both bath and shower cubicle.
The barn sits within a small cluster of just seven homes accessed by narrow rural lanes, surrounded by a large garden with an unfenced stream that borders open fields. Red squirrels and various birds visit regularly. The Arten Ghyll viaduct passes nearby—steam trains are visible from the grounds. A pub is within reach. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Parking for two cars is on site. One dog is welcome. The property has a natural spring water supply. No smoking.
