Spice Mill Cottage is a converted 19th-century mill in Carnforth, a historic market town on the edge of the Lake District. The whole property is yours alone, sleeping five across three storeys with two bathrooms. One well-behaved dog stays free, though it must remain downstairs.

The ground floor holds a kitchen with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave, plus a dining space and separate toilet. Upstairs, a living room with 50" smart TV and electric wood burner opens to a courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue. The three bedrooms split across the first and second floors—one single, one kingsize with roll-top bath and heated towel rail, and two singles sharing an ensuite shower. Bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with gas central heating and on-site parking for two cars.

You're within walking distance of Kirkby Lonsdale's shops, pubs and restaurants, and the Devil's Bridge walk begins a few minutes away. The town sits between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. No smoking inside.
