Bowness-on-Windermere sits on the eastern shore of the lake, ringed by the high fells of the central Lake District. From the village, you can walk down to the water in minutes, or head uphill to Windermere village itself with its independent shops and cafés. The town centre—pubs, restaurants, independent retailers—is a short stroll away.

Spring Mouse Apartment is on the second floor of a residential building, offering three bedrooms and two bathrooms for six guests. One bedroom has a double bed (4ft 6in), another has a double (4ft 6in), and the third contains two single beds (3ft each). The living and dining room opens onto a balcony with garden furniture, and there's a proper kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, freezer and microwave. One bathroom has a bath with shower over it; the other is a shower room with a washing machine. Parking includes a garage for one car and private parking for a second vehicle, plus bike storage. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all provided; the apartment has central heating and an electric fire in the living room. Children under five are not accommodated. There is no smoking inside.

From here you can catch a steamer up the lake to the north or take the car ferry across to Grizedale and Coniston. The location works equally well for families wanting base-camp exploration of the fells or couples looking for easy access to restaurants and the water.
