The Hydaway

The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction is minutes away, and Lake Windermere itself is on the doorstep—walks along the promenade start from the street. Bowness has restaurants and independent shops within easy reach, and boat cruises depart from the nearby pier. The fells rise behind you; the lake stretches in front. It's the kind of location where you can be exploring woodland or water within an hour.

The Hydaway occupies the second floor of a recently refurbished building. You get a double bedroom with views toward the fells, a second bedroom with twin beds, and a bathroom with shower over bath. The open-plan living space combines a kitchen with electric cooking, a sitting area with a Smart TV and fireplace, and a dining corner that seats four. Bed linen, towels, heating, wi-fi and a parking permit for one car are all included. The entrance involves 20 steps.

This is a self-contained flat rented as a whole, so it suits couples or small families wanting their own space without sharing facilities. No smoking inside.
