Tan
Westmorland and Furness

You enter Tan into a layout built for comfort: the living and dining spaces occupy one generous room with a woodburner and patio doors opening onto an enclosed garden. The kitchen runs to a full set of appliances—oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine—so you can cook properly. Four bedrooms are distributed across the bungalow: three doubles and one twin, served by three bathrooms, so large groups rarely queue.
The ground-floor design means minimal stairs; access needs should pose no problem. Bed linen and wi-fi are covered, heating and electricity too. You have parking for two or three cars on the forecourt and a paved garden at the rear with furniture. The property does not permit smoking.
Being 400 yards from Ullswater puts you at the heart of the Lake District's walking country. Pooley Bridge, with pubs, tea rooms and shops, is 3 miles away. The Brackenrigg Inn lies between, closer still. From here you can reach Aira Force waterfall, pick any fell walk, or book a cruise on the lake steamers.
