Built as part of a gunpowder works in 1798, The Burrow has been restored as a three-storey cottage sleeping three across two bedrooms. The ground floor holds the living and dining space, warmed by a woodburner, along with a kitchen fitted for cooking and laundry. Upstairs is a bathroom with bath and shower, then a second floor with a kingsize and a single bedroom. The restoration has kept the character of the old mill building while adding modern comforts—underfloor heating, a smart TV, dishwasher, and wifi included in your stay.
Outside, there's an enclosed garden with a patio and furniture, plus parking for one car. One dog stays free. The building has steep or narrow stairs in places, and three steps lead down into the garden. Smoking is not permitted. A pub and restaurant are within walking distance, the beach lies five miles away, and the Lake District National Park sits nearby with cycling and walking trails throughout the area.
