The Corn Store is a converted farm building near Broughton-in-Furness, on the edge of the Lake District National Park. You enter on the ground floor to find two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite and direct access to the garden—one has a four-poster bed and shower cubicle, the other a standard double with bath and shower. Upstairs, the whole of the first floor is given over to living space: an open-plan kitchen, dining area and lounge that opens onto a balcony. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, and washing machine. Oil underfloor heating keeps the place warm, and wi-fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.
The property sits on a working farm with stabling available for horses and kennels for dogs. The large lawned garden and patio make good use of the outdoor space, and there's private parking for two cars on site. The location suits people wanting countryside access—bridleways are nearby for riding, and there's a lake on the farm where one day's free mixed coarse fishing is included with your stay. No smoking inside. Four guests maximum.
