The Old Chapel

This former chapel near La'al Riddings has been converted into a substantial family home with four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The ground floor centres on an expansive open-plan room where high vaulted ceilings, oak beams and large leaded windows define the space. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at any scale, with electric oven and hob, range, dishwasher, air fryer and all the basics you'd need. A comfortable living area sits adjacent, warmed by an electric fire. Beyond this main space, a study provides somewhere quiet to retreat, and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is useful after days in the Lakes; a fridge freezer there suits anyone bringing supplies or walking boots needing to dry.

Three bedrooms are on the lower ground floor. Two have king beds with bath and shower; one has twin singles with bath and shower. The fourth bedroom is galleried above the living room in the original chapel rafters, a king bed with glass screen overlooking the main space below and its own walk-in shower room. Children and dogs are welcome; there's a cot, highchair and stairgate if needed. The back garden has patio seating and furniture. Parking for four cars on the property.
