The Steading is a single-storey stone cottage on a working farmstead in the Eden Valley near Carlisle. It sleeps four across two double bedrooms and has one bathroom with shower. Everything essential comes included: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi. The whole property is yours alone, with private parking on site.
The open-plan living area sits at the heart of the cottage, combining a fully equipped kitchen—electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer—with a living room warmed by an electric fire. Large windows fill the space with natural light. Both bedrooms are doubles, and the shower room has a heated towel rail and grab rail. All rooms are on the ground floor, making the cottage accessible and easy to navigate.
Outside, an enclosed garden offers a patio and barbecue area. Dogs stay free and have use of a secure dog run. Houghton Hall Garden Centre is nearby if you want to explore local nurseries and attractions. The village of Kirkoswald, with its historic square and riverside walks, lies within reach, and Penrith's shops and amenities are a short drive away. There is an unfenced lake within the grounds. No smoking in the cottage.

Lovely accommodation and facilities with great hosts, with good pricing. This place is close enough to Carlisle and the M6, but set in a rural part of the outskirts of the city, so there's the extra peace.
