Staffield Cottage

Staffield Cottage is a traditional stone building in a quiet hamlet within the Eden Valley. Built to last, the cottage has character throughout—exposed beams and a woodburner in the living room set the tone. The ground floor holds the main living space, a kitchen equipped for cooking, and a utility room. Upstairs, two bedrooms and a bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower complete the layout.

One bedroom has a kingsize bed; the other contains two single beds that can be zipped together if you prefer. Both rooms have smart TVs. Essentials are provided: electricity, Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all included, and there is a travel cot and highchair if needed. The kitchen has a dishwasher, electric hob and oven, and coffee machine. Parking is on site, and one dog stays free of charge—there are dog extras and bowls to welcome them.

Outside, an enclosed garden with patio and furniture wraps around the cottage. A private hot tub for four sits within it. The location is within easy reach of Ullswater at Pooley Bridge and Glenridding, Keswick, and the western reaches of the Yorkshire Dales. Nearby villages including Kirkoswald, Armathwaite and Great Salkeld have shops, pubs and restaurants. The hamlet itself sits close enough to Hadrian's Wall, the Northern Pennines and the Scottish Borders to make for varied days out. Smoking is not permitted inside.
