Walk into Wayfarer and you're immediately in the main living space: an open-plan first floor under vaulted ceilings with beamed roof, arranged to make the most of rural views across the surrounding landscape. A dining table sits ready for morning coffee and planning, while the sitting area has a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric cooker, fridge, microwave—so you can eat in or head out to explore.
Two bedrooms occupy the ground floor: a double and a single, both furnished with pine beds and straightforward comfort. The single bathroom has a shower over the bath. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The cottage sits in quiet countryside just off the A66 between Penrith and Keswick, putting the Caldbeck and Ullswater fells within reach for day trips, yet far enough back to feel removed from main roads. Parking is on site. No smoking inside.
