Woodfield

Coniston Water lies less than half a mile away, and three major peaks—Old Man of Coniston, Wetherlam and Swirl How—sit within 3.5 miles. Kayaking, canoeing and sailing happen on the water; mountain walks start from the door. Woodfield is a rural base for that kind of outdoor day, then a place to settle back into afterwards.

The property sleeps four across two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. One has a four-poster double and a shower over the bath; the other offers a super king and a walk-in shower cubicle. The lounge is generous and light, with sofas positioned to face the TV and an electric wood-burning stove that works alongside the central heating. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering. A cot and highchair are available if needed.
