Woodys suits families and groups of up to six looking for a Lake District base with town amenities on the doorstep. The conversion occupies two floors of a Victorian building, accessed via a shared entrance and private staircase. Downstairs holds the living and dining space, which opens to a bay window and flows into a modern kitchen; upstairs are three bedrooms split across two levels, with the largest offering an ensuite bathroom.

The first-floor double and the second-floor twin are both spacious. The master bedroom on the upper level has a super kingsize bed and en-suite with bath and shower, useful after days exploring. A shower room serves the twin. The kitchen is properly equipped—oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washer dryer—so you can cook or just make coffee. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard. One car can park on site. No smoking throughout.

Bowness is a short walk away, offering shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés, plus the World of Beatrix Potter and Windermere Cruises, which connect to Ambleside and Lakeside. The Lakes Aquarium, water sports and Brockhole are all within reach by boat or short drive.
