Just had a 2 night stay at Westbourne. What a lovely place. Fantastic location, just a couple of minutes walk into Bowness which is a fantastic, lively town. Free parking at Westbourne which is always a bonus. We had a 'small' room which was lovely and the shower was great too. A lovely cosy communal lounge with an honesty bar is a nice touch. The breakfast was delicious and came with great service. Thanks to host Greg, we found Brant Fell and was treat to amazing 360° panoramic views, and then to High Dam for a very tranquil wild swim. A perfect weekend break.

Perfectly located in Bowness, this was a wonderful place to stay during our time in the Lake District. Angela and Greg were beyond welcoming and it felt like staying in an old friend's house. The rooms were nicely sized (ours had a little mudroom too), the public lounge was cozy (nice for a Lakes themed game of Monopoly), and breakfast was great as well. Can't recommend enough. Thanks again!

Such a beautiful little hotel / guesthouse in Windermere. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are clean and well maintained, and tasty breakfast. Easy off-street parking for residents. Check in before 19:00, but there was a phone number if you arrived late. Check out is at 10:00.

The location is excellent. It’s only a few minutes walk to the main Street! There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. The pier can be reached within a 10 minutes walk, where you can easily take the tourist boat. The room was cosy and the front yard was absolutely beautiful with lots of lovely flowers. Although I only stayed for one night this time, I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. Many thanks to the host for kindly allowing me to store my luggage! Thanks
