About Anchor Head Hotel

Rooms at the Anchor Head Hotel are kept straightforward: en-suite bathrooms, family rooms for those travelling with children, and drinks available in the room, with some looking out over the sea. A lift serves the upper floors, and 24 hour reception means arrivals and requests are handled at any time of day.

Downstairs there are two restaurants to choose between, plus a bar that hosts live entertainment in the evenings. Breakfast is included, and packed lunches can be arranged for a day out along the coast. A games room adds an option for guests staying in, and free WiFi runs throughout the building.

The hotel sits on Claremont Crescent in Weston-super-Mare, close to the beach and within reach of watersports, fishing and a nearby golf course. Walking and cycling routes lead out from the town, and pubs and restaurants nearby give plenty of choice beyond the hotel's own dining rooms.

Although the building dated, it's a clean Hotel, bed and linen/pillows gave a great night's sleep. The check in was smooth , lady on reception is lovely and Shaun the food server/staff member was great rushing about at breakfast keeping everyone happy with a cheery personality. The only negative thing of note is that we were on third floor and the mobile signal was zero ....and the hotels WiFi was one bar that always dropped a in and out ... so maybe the WiFi needs to look at a booster/ amplifier. But a great place ,don't get me wrong.

Old hotel but well looked after. Good size rooms and clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. A limited but good menu, the food is well cooked and always hot. A first class three star hotel. The only drawback is the location on the edge of town and on a hill. You need to be reasonably fit to walk over mile into the town. Car parking is very difficult.

I had a lovely single room to myself. A double bed all to myself. No sea view for me, but l asked for a room with a bath. ( I walked miles as usual so a radox bath was bliss. )My room was clean. I was happy. Location wasn't the best, a bit of a walk to the centre, but there was a bus. Staff were excellent especially at front desk. I didn't use the room cleaner while there, but l left a note, they left me extra coffee and tea by my door which l requested. The deputy manager was covering, he managed us lot with a 😃 and he went out of his way to make mine and others stay a lovely one.
