About Savoy B&B

Birnbeck Road runs along the seafront in Weston-super-Mare, close to the Grand Pier and Marine Lake, and Savoy B&B sits right on this stretch, with the Somerset coastline forming the backdrop to many of its rooms.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, sea views, drinks available in room, and family rooms for those travelling with children. A lift serves the building and reception operates around the clock, with breakfast included and free WiFi throughout. Facilities extend to meeting rooms for those combining business with a stay by the coast. That said, maintenance is not always consistent across rooms, so it is worth setting expectations accordingly.

Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, and the location puts golf, fishing, a pub, and nearby restaurants within easy reach, alongside local entertainment options. It is a straightforward base for exploring the seafront and Marine Lake area of Weston-super-Mare.

Whilst I understand this is a 2 star establishment you would have to pay me a lot to ever stay here again. I was with my 17 year old daughter and felt uncomfortable and unsafe. No drinks available or food and when we arrived we were walked down to another building to stay. Both buildings are run down inside and out, cheap furnishings, dirty bathrooms, cheap packets of body wash and presentation in rooms very poor. Our bedroom door even when locked could be pushed open. So anyone could enter our room. After reading some reviews, which we should have done before but didn't as it was a last minute booking while we were in the area, and struggled to find somewhere, we pushed the bedside table up against the door and wedged against radiator. At one point we were tempted to leave and sleep in the car. In the morning when we left there were just cleaners wandering around, nobody at reception and cat or dogs mess in reception. Our duvet cover had black marks all over it and it smelt like wee in the room. I would never recommend to stay here and if there are any good reviews they must have been written by staff.

Our stay here was great. He upgraded our for free no charge. Upon arrival we wasn't aware of the £100 deposit which is hotels policy but he was so understanding and allowed us to jus deposit £50 which we got back before the time he said it would come back which is amazing. The service from him was spot on too. Humours, modern and helpful. Wil definitely be returning and possibly making it a place we stay every month. Thank you

For the price I paid, and in mid summer, this is a bargain. A very friendly Egyptian bloke with a weird definite hint of Scottish in his accent (turns out he used to live in Glasgow) was a friendly staff member, and the room was clean and a nice n strong shower. I'm definitely happy for the cheap price

For what you are paying, be realistic. Agree with most reviews that the room I stayed in looked dated, but clean and everything was working. Very friendly relaxed staff, still working as I arrived after 10pm (reception closing time). I booked for the "chase the sun" (cycling) day, for £50 a week before; no price gauging like some hotel chains. Single room spacious enough for bike. I was in a secondary building (on the map still listed as Birchfield hotel), again friendly helpful reception and I think that building is being upgraded, it may explain some disparity in the reviews. I left early so cannot comment on food etc.
