About Cabot Court Hotel Wetherspoon

Weston-super-Mare's seafront is the setting for Cabot Court Hotel Wetherspoon, a straightforward base on Knightstone Road for exploring the town's beach and Somerset's wider attractions. Many of the rooms look out over the sea, and guests get en-suite bathrooms, family rooms for those travelling with children, and the option of drinks brought to the room.

Downstairs there's a restaurant serving breakfast and kids' meals alongside a full bar with a wide range of drinks, plus a garden and outdoor seating for warmer days. Free WiFi is available throughout. Service can be slower at busy times, but the rooms are consistently kept clean and comfortable, and the overall value for money is a strong point.

Outside the hotel, the area suits walkers and cyclists, with golf and fishing nearby for those wanting to get outdoors, and watersports available along the coast. Further pubs, bars and restaurants sit within easy reach, along with local entertainment options, making it a practical starting point for a seafront stay.

Visited this pub a couple of times during our stay nearby. A Wetherspoon with a sea view. The atmosphere inside was quite typical and busy. We used the app to get our orders put through. The first member of staff we encountered just approached our table to drop off our drinks (a Beer and a couple of soft drinks). He didn't speak to us, didn't look at us. He looked annoyed and just left the tray there and stormed off. After that, everyone else who served us was lovely and friendly. We put in an order for some food based on the deals on the menu. My family went for Nachos, Loaded Chips, and a Bowl of Chips with Curry Sauce, followed by a dessert of Mini Warm Chocolate Brownie which came with Ice Cream and Chocolate Sauce. I was quite hungry so I ordered Tennessee beef burger which had maple-cured bacon and a Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey glaze. It came with Chips, Onion Rings, and I upgraded my soft drink to a Cider. I was very surprised at how nice it was considering the price and my general perception of Wetherspoon food. The following day, we returned to relax on the terrace with a few soft drinks, an Aperol Spritz, and a Cookie Crunch Ice Cream dessert for my kid before leaving the area.

Booked 2 nights for my 30th birthday have stayed in previous Wetherspoons hotels but unfortunately this has been the worst one. Staff seem rude and very unorganised didn’t guide us to the hotel reception waiting area until it was 2pm to check in so had to wait in bar area very noisy and overwhelming. When it did come to check in they couldn’t find details at first. At times the keys cards weren’t working. The rooms are separate from the bars so you can’t just get the lift so not ideal if you have difficulty with stairs. As the room the beds were very comfy and did get good sleep. The unlimited WiFi was so slow had to use my mobile phone data. Tv had no channels just radio and news. Bath tap kept dripping. As for the food it was quite good just the service was slow ordering by app. Staff seem to spend more time talking than serving customers. All the tables were sticky and old decor makes the pub look run down. The area isn’t much better either for anyone looking for a nice place to visit be warned the people are rude and definitely a rough area.

We had a lovely meal, it's a great location, but more than that the staff are absolute angels. It was a busy sunny Saturday in June, so already bustling, when there was a medical emergency. The staff handled it brilliantly, and we're faultlessly polite in moving customers - even those who griped and complained about having to change tables! They handled it like consummate professionals and they all deserve extra holiday/pay or other compensation. 5 stars

Just stayed there for a night, all the staff I came across were so lovely and helpful! Ive never stayed in a Spoons hotel before but it was great, rooms were big and beds were comfy! Couldn't hear any noise from the bar downstairs but I could hear the beer garden but with ear phones this was fixed! You could only get into the hotel by going up a few steps but staff helped me carry pram up them and there was a (small!) Lift inside. Room was hot as there's no air con but there was a fan in the room and we are in the middle of a heat wave so I did expect it and it wasn't unbearable, really good stay and amazing views!
