We stayed here in June 2019 for 1 night while visiting friends locally. Martin is a lovely host, helpful, friendly and he makes the best cooked breakfast ever! Room was clean & tidy with a great en-suite. Great personality, lovely garden out the back, reasonable ratese and perfect for our needs. Definitely would recommend this B & B to anyone staying in the area. Sorry I took so long to write the review as promised. These honest reviews were why we booked here in the first place. Have just returned from a fabulous weekend in Weymouth, staying at the Lakeside and we have to say how lovely the stay was! Martin made us so welcome, and even with our late arrival on Friday night had made very organised arrangements for us to be let in by a neighbour and shown to our room. Everything was very clean and homely. Martin was very hospitable and easy to chat to. He made a wicked breakfast which set us up for the day, which we chose to eat in the garden every morning. Home baked bread has to get a mention too as it was delicious! If you want to park up the car and go on foot then this is close enough to town to do so, yet far enough to have some solitude away from the hustle and bustle. Will definitely be visiting again! Thankyou for making our stay a memorable one :)

Lakeside Guest House, is a family & homely home. Culdesac location single drive. (One car only) Martin the proprietor is a lovely, friendly musician very welcoming & makes his own bread daily (beautiful) a good English breakfast also he caters for your needs, just let him know in advance. Comfortable double bed. He made us so welcome, we were late arriving & to save us going out for our evening meal he cooked us a beautiful cheese omelette with salad & a can of beer for Bob. Very much appreciated. Thank you Martin for Being a lovely host.

Just home from a weekend break at Lakeside Guest House and Martin the owner couldn't be more welcoming. Lovely clean rooms with extremely comfy beds. Super breakfast with freshly baked bread by Martin. Highly recommend, would absolutely book again :)
