About Seaview Farm

Perched right on the Jurassic Coast with sweeping views over Chesil Beach and the Fleet Lagoon, Seaview Farm delivers exactly what its name promises. This is wild camping at its most scenic: pitches spread across a gently sloping field, no electric hook-ups, just portable loos, showers and water points—plus the freedom to light campfires and barbecues as you watch the sun sink into the sea.

Walkers are particularly well served here. Footpaths radiate in all directions, including a route down to the South West Coast Path and onward to Portland. A bus stop sits nearby, making car-free exploration entirely feasible, though Weymouth beach is under ten minutes by road if you do drive. The site can feel a touch basic—don't expect frills—but for those after dramatic coastal scenery, easy access to pubs and shops on foot, and a genuinely back-to-nature vibe, it hits the mark brilliantly.

I initaly booked this location as I used to stay at the caravan site down the road when I went to weymoouth yearly with familly. I was initialy going to book fossils for the week however someone got in before me so I booked a few nights in Chesilhay, one night at the local premier inn and the last two nights at fossils. The location is excellent, with easy access to Weymouth on the Number 8 buss or a 3h walk (about 25k steps) along the south coast path. There is also an aldi up the road. Both flats have smart TVs that you can log into your own streaming services. Chesilhay: Chesilhay was spotless and well-maintained. It has a modern décor that’s stylish even if it’s not quite my usual taste. The bed is spacious and very comfortable, especially for a solo traveller. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils and cookware you’d need for self-catering. The en-suite bathroom is modern and the shower gets lovely and hot. Fossils Reach: Fossils Reach felt a bit more cosy and homely. The bedroom and bed are smaller than in Chesilhay, but the flat has a larger bathroom with a bathtub, which is a great bonus. The slanted roof adds charm, and I imagine it would sound lovely if it rained. Fossils Reach also has a washing machine that’s free to use. There was some biological washing powder in the cupboard, but I’d recommend bringing your own just in case. Nicky, the host, has been fantastic, friendly, thoughtful, and quick to help. Overall, I’d definitely recommend either flat. Both are clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and excellent value for money. I’d be very happy to stay here again on future trips to Weymouth.

Good value place to stay and enjoy the area. Rooms well appointed except bedroom is tight with good sized double bed almost filling it. Not a problem for us. Stairs up at the rear wide and good grip. Hosts respond quickly and cheery. We had no issues needing them to visit and all went well. Loads to see and do in the area.

Absolutely stunning location. Google did us a little dirty and took us the wrong way in but it wont take long for them to catch up on this beautiful spot. Great views, Showers and toilets super clean. They even have a little spot for you to wash up. And the view is incredible. Short walk down to the beach and very well priced considering how much the host provides and the best view out of any of them. The hosts are super accommodating and easy going. Huge space to spread out and no one was placed too close together. We will be recommended this spot to all our friends. Thank you for having us

Nice quiet location but close to amenities, its like a home from home. Some of the furniture could do with updating but its still very usable. The wifi is good there too.
