About Haven Crest - Whitby
Haven Crest - Whitby works best for couples or adult travellers after a calm base rather than a lively family stop. Set on Upgang Lane, it offers sea views and free on-site parking, with the town itself a pleasant twenty-minute walk away rather than right on the doorstep, which suits guests happy to combine a coastal outlook with a short stroll to the attractions.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks in room, and free WiFi, with 24 hour reception and luggage storage for flexible arrivals and departures. Breakfast is a highlight, made with local produce and served in generous portions, and the staff are consistently helpful, which makes settling in straightforward.
Golf, fishing, cycling and walking are all nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment for evenings out, and watersports for those wanting to get onto the coast itself. Whitby Abbey and the town's other attractions are within easy reach, making this a practical base for exploring the area on foot or by car.

What guests say
My partner and I have just returned from a one night stay at Haven Crest, Whitby and it was a fantastic experience. The location is great, plenty of access to private on-site parking and only a short walk along the Cleveland Way into Whitby or 5 min taxi ride. The White House Inn situated across the road offers great food, a friendly atmosphere and lovely views over the golf course from its beer garden. The owners Chris & Fay were lovely, very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the local area for ideas and suggestions of attractions, places to eat & drink and sights to see during our short stay. The dining area was immaculate and spacious and the breakfast and options offered were superb. We were given the option of a ground or first floor on our arrival and chose room 6 on the first floor. The room again was immaculate very well presented and everything taken care of that you need for a short break. My partner and I found our stay very comfortable and only wished that we had booked another night's stay. I would certainly recommend a stay at Haven Crest and we will be returning again soon! Thank you Chris & Fay

Chris & Fay were very hospitable, accomodating and friendly. Chris in fact helped me out when I had an accident with my glasses. Nice one Chris. Would have given 5 stars but found our room 3 lacked a small fridge and getting in/out of the shower could be problematic if you are a large person. (Not a problem for either my wife & I). The shower itself could not be faulted. Breakfast was great, plenty choice cereals, fruit and full English breakfast If ever in the area we would have no hesitation in returning to the Haven Crest. The location suited us and we enjoyed the 20 minutes walk to the town itself or 30 minutes walk to the Abbey ruins. Great pub, the White House across the road, situated on the edge of a Golf course.

This place is perfect if you want to stay away from the town (especially on a Bank Holiday) There are limited car spaces on their property but you can street park as long as you're not annoying other residents. Both free. There's a convenience shop nearby if you need anything and a nice little pub next door that's open all day. The main town is only 20 mins away, so keep your car there if you can, that way you can walk and enjoy the views. The team are lovely, especially Fay. She looks after you in the morning. She's a real gem. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were clean, well stocked up and quiet. If I could change anything, I'd add a fan as the heatwave was too much. It was difficult to get any air circulation without opening the door. Highly recommend a stay here ☺️
