There is genuinely nowhere better you could go during this heatwave!! So lovely and cool down here, and with so much to take in you won't be in any rush to leave! We spent around 1.5 hours here. There are no steps anywhere in the cave but it can be a little steep in places, however if you're unfit like me it's easy to go at your own pace. Loads of interesting pieces still in the mine and lovely friendly staff in the gift shop at the end too. Would definitely recommend to anyone ☺️

Took the family here in the school holidays, not too busy. Prices were ok but the experience was good. Informative displays at the entrance, good displays in the mines showing equipment, history and working conditions. There's even a performance cave with a bar and seating. We loved the lake with prehistoric projections. Shop was ok at the exit, not too expensive for small momentous. Cafe outside was ok. Big car park but it's hilly and lots of walking if that's an issue for you. We thought it was good value for money and an escape from the hot weather. Very cool 😎

My first visit here in many years. Fascinating place. It's educational and the caves are stunning. The cool temperature underground makes this an ideal place to visit on a hot day.

These caves were brilliant, so much to explore. The lady on the ticket office was lovely, very warm and welcoming. Highlight of our weekend in the area. Only downside was the cafe was quite expensive.
