What guests say
Our stay was more like a private hotel for 2 than the classic idea of a B&B. Kacey is a wonderful host and with her husband has great taste in decorating the rooms. Then there is the food, do not go out for an evening meal, there is a table and chairs in your room, the menu is extensive, possible by making your decision a day beforehand so that Stacey can prepare and then serve up in your room with great flair and it tastes great. Breakfast the same. The room has everything that you need and is very comfortable. I love having USB ports in the sockets as well. The bathroom is modern and again decorated with the same attention to detail, I smiled to see orange towels in the bathroom, much nicer and more welcoming than hotel white. Such a shame we were only staying for one night on our trip around the NC500. It would be worth spending longer to appreciate not only the hospitality, but also the wonderful scenery in this area.

We had a great time at Burnside Cottage. We were very well looked after by Kacey and enjoyed her hospitality very much. We had two days there to enjoy the local area. The local restaurants were a bit unimpressive; it might have been better to have had dinner cooked by Kacey - her breakfasts were outstanding! Just around the corner is Annie’s bakery which was amazing for takeaway lunchtime snacks!

This is a wonderful place to stay if you’re visiting the Caithness area. The rooms are extremely comfortable with lovely views across farmland. Kacey is a wonderful host and the food was delicious. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
