The Stable

The Stable is a detached cottage on a working farm in Wiltshire. You get the whole place to yourself: downstairs there's a living and dining room with a smart TV, and a kitchen equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. One double bedroom and a bathroom with bath and shower are also on the ground floor. Upstairs, a kingsize bedroom has an ensuite shower room, and a third bedroom contains two singles.

The property sits within countryside that includes a canal and pond on the grounds, so those landscapes are part of the setting. An enclosed cobbled courtyard with garden furniture and a barbecue offers outdoor space, and there's parking for three cars. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; a cot and highchair are available, and drying facilities can be arranged. No smoking inside.

Chippenham is a mile or so away by car, with a pub a quarter of a mile off. Lacock, Avebury and Castle Combe are within driving distance, as is Bath. The farm countryside around you has footpaths through wild flower meadows.
