Bombay Delight Wimbledon

On this relentlessly hot day, with two energetic children in tow, we decided to make a day of it and head to the theatre. I booked Bombay Delight for a pre‑theatre lunch, and it was such a good choice. We ordered a mix from the brunch menu and the à la carte. The absolute favourites were the chicken tikka kathi roll and the Lamb Angara curry with rice, the lamb was melt‑in‑the‑mouth tender and cooked to perfection. My seven year old loved the kathi roll and even had seconds of the lamb, which is very unlike her as she usually doesn’t eat much. Dessert was a lovely finish, the gajar ka halwa was divine, and for my more traditional seven‑year‑old, the chocolate brownie with ice cream hit the spot. I’d also recommend the masala chai, served without sugar so you can sweeten it exactly to your taste. The whole experience was made even better by the excellent and attentive staff, especially Kirpal, who is new to the job and genuinely one of the nicest, most patient waiters we’ve come across. For two adults and two children, the meal was great value. We enjoyed three courses and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. And importantly, the restaurant is air‑conditioned, which was a blessing in this heat. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

Amazing food and service was excellent! We went during a weekday evening and it was fairly quiet considering it wasn’t a weekend. Walking in the vibe was immaculate. It smelt nice, the decor and furnishings were inviting such as elephant head sculptures on the walls, and an indoor waterfall feature. The service was great and not too pushy, gave us plenty of time to choose what we wanted as there was plenty to choose from on the menu. The food didn’t take too long to arrive and everything came nice and hot. The drinks were great, the main courses were so full of flavour and the desserts were lovely too. Came due to the high ratings on google and I’m not disappointed. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Delicious food, excellent service, and genuinely friendly, welcoming staff. It’s a shame we didn’t discover this place sooner. We’ll definitely be returning and would happily recommend it to others.

Food is amazing. This time when we went we felt like two of the staff..one who escorted to the table and the one who was serving was quite rude. I thought it was just me who was feeling like not welcomed and the way both the staff attitude was why we came to this restaurant, but my husband and my sister felt it too. Rest the manager and one more tall guy(waiting staff) was good 👍.
