The Meon Valley sits deep in the South Downs National Park, and South Downs Lodge is positioned to take advantage of it. Walking trails crisscross the rolling downland; The White Lion pub is less than a mile away for food and drink; cyclists and horse riders will find the terrain rewarding. The lodge itself is a single-storey property, recently completed, with everything on the ground floor and designed for two people in privacy.
Inside, an open-plan living space combines sitting, dining and kitchen areas, with a door leading through to the bedroom wing. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and full fridge. The bedroom contains a king-size bed; the ensuite has a walk-in shower, basin and toilet finished in contemporary style. There's a small gravelled seating area outside, along with bike storage and parking for two cars. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. The property is entirely yours; no smoking inside.
The lodge works well for people wanting to explore the countryside on foot or by bike, or simply to spend time in a quiet, rural setting. There is a step in the front garden. The host can arrange equestrian interaction sessions if you want to add something different to your stay.
