What visitors say
Truly beautiful place to stay. Stunning scenery and so peaceful. I stayed in one of the Shepherds Hut’s for two nights so that I could explore the local area. The huts are beautiful and have everything you need to make your stay really special. I will definitely be going back!

The team at Meon are always helpful and willing to assist where possible, there’s free tea and coffee on tap and a lovely log burner, or if you want something different there’s everything you’re taste buds desire at the cafe/restaurant attached. Great facilities, enjoyable fishing, never overcrowded, lovely spot to pass a day away.

What a lovely place. Stopped by with three grandchildren for coffee, buns etc. Wonderfully peaceful, lakeside country location, warm inside café with log fire, good outside area for warmer weather, good choice of cakes etc and excellent coffee. But it was the staff that I was most impressed by - a lovely lady who was generally warm and welcoming, but willingly included our grandchildren in arranging the newly arrived flowers in vases. I'm sure this won't always happen but it speaks volumes for the lovely staff there. It's slightly out of the way but we'll worth discovering.

Son did the fly fishing experience day, weather was atrocious and high winds were forecast, the team offered him the option of calling it quits or check at 11 however the wind didn't appear and I had a wonderful day. Kieran was patient, Greg showed him what he was doing wrong; both highly knowledgeable. The water was clear so the fish were visible, and there was alot of bird life including a Kite. A peaceful rural setting & well-maintained with a cafe. As its on the South Downs its popular with cyclist and walkers.
