What visitors say
Stayed for one night’s non-elec pitch camping in April 2026. Great campsite, would highly recommend. Booked last minute, which was an easy and quick process. Site is located on one side of the Hambledon village valley. Steep hill to and from village, but still walkable. Peaceful location. Plenty of facilities for camping. Hot shower and clean toilets, and plenty of food prep space. Large barn with indoor tables would be excellent if travelling with larger group. Fire pit with logs available to purchase. Only suggestion would be to make firefighters available to purchase alongside the logs. Can easily access public paths nearby to the site, so plenty of good walks available. Overall, would recommend as camp site.

Lovely peaceful camping stay. Facilities were good even though they were basic, the shower was nice and hot, plus plentiful toilet roll. There was a variety of utensils to borrow, which we did as I forgot to bring a bread knife and one of my glasses broke enroute - so borrowed both and cleaned and returned them to the shared outdoor kitchen area. We had a horse next to our tent in he next field, which munched away and was very grateful to us feeding him with the lush grass. There was a place to charge our phones, which was very much appreciated as the spot we chose didn't have electric hook up. All in all a wonderful peaceful stay and would certainly come again. The shepherds hut was perfect for some peace and quiet. Just what was needed for a reset. The location is tranquil and a huge bonus to wake up to see the horses in the paddock right next door. Facilities are basic but fully working and all you need. I would highly recommend a stay at rushmere farm. It’s the perfect escape.

We had an amazing time staying in a cabin at Rushmere. It was such a peaceful and beautiful setting, a short and gorgeous walk to the nearest small village with great pub food. The hosts were really lovely and delivered us some of their delicious oat milk on our first morning. The cabin was clean and well-equipped. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for one night and although it was a little noisier having a young family next door on our 2nd night, we still felt it was a relaxing time!
