The Owl House

The Owl House is a barn conversion standing on its own within rural Hampshire, surrounded by broadleaf woodland and countryside that stretches toward distant views of a valley and golf course beyond. Built to modern comfort standards, it sits on the grounds of the owner's home yet feels entirely private, with immediate access to walking routes across the South Downs National Park. Winchester, the New Forest, Marwell Zoo and the south coast are all within reach for day trips.

Inside, the three-bedroom cottage sleeps five across a zip-and-link kingsize, two singles and a single bed. Downstairs holds a living room with Freeview and a woodburner, a separate dining room opening onto a terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue, and a kitchen equipped for full self-catering with electric oven, dishwasher and washer-dryer. The main bathroom has a bath with shower; the ensuite serves the kingsize bedroom. Electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and wood for the burner are included. There is a wildlife pond about 20 yards from the garden, a tennis court on the grounds, and parking for three cars.

A village shop and country pub lie a mile away; the nearest town with proper shopping and services is three miles off. The cottage does not permit smoking.
