About St Johns Lodge
Windermere makes an easy base for the Lake District, with Bowness just along the way and the lake itself close at hand, and St Johns Lodge sits on Lake Road at the heart of it all. This is a nine-room guest house with a four-storey layout, offering en-suite rooms, drinks available in-room, and free on-site parking for those arriving by car.
Guests get breakfast included, free WiFi throughout, and a bar on site for evenings in. Beyond the usual guest house facilities, St Johns Lodge has an unusually well-equipped leisure offering for its size: a gym, sauna, hot tub and indoor swimming pool, plus a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating for warmer days. Laundry service, luggage storage and 24 hour reception cover the practical side, while a kitchen and business services are also available.
Outside, the area suits walkers and cyclists, with golf, fishing and watersports all nearby, and no shortage of pubs, restaurants and entertainment within reach. It's a practical spot for exploring Windermere and Bowness, with the added benefit of facilities you wouldn't expect to find in a guest house of this size.
