Bristol Balloon Fiesta

We had a brilliant day at the balloon fiesta, balloon glow. The balloon glow to music was brilliant 😃 Loads to see, plenty of food and drink venders. There was a fun fair as well as a arena with entertainment for example; bike display, model aeroplane display. We spent 12hrs there and enjoyed all of it with family.

I was blown away by Bristol Balloon Fiesta 2025. I went to Ashton court to see it twice and loved both times. Fortunately, the weather was great most days over the weekend. The night glow was a brilliant experience, and the one on Sunday was also amazing.

This is such a great experience. The park is huge, there’s plenty of car parks too just need to book ahead and then there you are, in the middle of the crowd. Founded in 1979 this show provides you with hot air balloons experience along with other little shows such as mini plane demo, security dogs exhibition and many more. On the top of these there are multiple amusements and take aways (way too many 🤪) to choose from. Plenty of toilets in the proximity of the show on multiple sides so you can’t go wrong. Balloons ascents occur based on weather conditions but even if they don’t take off you still enjoy the night glow which is the best. Book your stay nearby and don’t forget that there’s also a sky lounge in case you want to have a front row. To be honest the view on the hill (free stand or picnic area) it’s much better than the VIP sky lounge so pick your choice. The place is suitable for families, kids, dogs, etc. Just book and go but prepare for a delayed exit if you have parked in one of the venue car parks if you will attend the night glow, massive queues will occur and there is no guidance or traffic control in the middle of the field (absolute carnage), took us about 45 mins to drive off the field.

It was brilliant, I really enjoyed it. I'd waited 20 years to go, and it didn't disappoint! We were in the sky lounge which was a relief as it was so hot and it was shaded there. There was so much to do with hundreds of stalls selling food and drink, crafts, clothes and toys etc. and there was an amusement park. The only downside was getting out of the car park was horrendous, the staff really needed some training on traffic control as people were getting angry at the way it was handled and I'm surprised there were no accidents.
