About Elme Hall Hotel
A restaurant and bar anchor the day at Elme Hall Hotel, with breakfast served each morning and drinks available to take up to your room afterwards. The setting is a redbrick mansion in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, surrounded by three acres of garden that give the place a sense of space rarely found so close to the town centre.
The hotel has 46 rooms, kept simple and comfortable rather than showy, with free WiFi throughout and a lift for easier access to upper floors. Luggage storage is available for those arriving early or leaving late, and the gardens offer a quiet spot to sit outside. The hotel also has meeting and event spaces, making it a practical choice for functions as well as overnight stays.
Free on-site parking is provided, useful given the location just outside the heart of Wisbech. It's a straightforward base for exploring Cambridgeshire, with the gardens and dining facilities the main draw for anyone wanting a relaxed stay rather than a boutique experience.
What guests say
This is no longer a hotel. It is being made into apartments. That was the reason for visiting. The building is stunning, and the apartments look amazing. Although they are not finished, you can see where the apartments will be, the views etc. Get’s a big thumbs up from me.

The room was quite space and very clean. It was initially really hot in the room but was provided with a table fan which was really helpful. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating - showing us to our rooms on arrival and showing how things worked on the room. My visit was a short stay only to sleep and was out majority of the day, so it filled our needs for the time. Reasonably priced for 2 nights also. The bed was very comfortable.

If there was anything negative about our stay then this is not the time to be saying it (but there wasn't). Me and the wife wanted to get away for a long weekend for our anniversary. We have stayed here a couple of times in the past and enjoyed each time. This time was a bit different for obvious reasons and everyone is trying to recover and get back on their feet. The team at the hotel were no different so it is only fair to review our stay with an understanding of the immense challenges they are battling through. The room as always was very nice, clean and spacious. There was no breakfast being served due to the logistics which was disappointing but again not something the hotel could do anything about. The evening meal menu was limited but the quality was good. Staff was minimal as the guest numbers were still very low but the staff we did speak to were very nice, polite and helpful.

We are here at the moment for one night only. We found this hotel in need of a very much needed update, the disabled shower room has lots of black near the bottom of the walls and needs painting and the bedspread has lots of dirty marks on. There is no air conditioning but we do have a very small electric fan that doesn't do much good at all, if we did want to make a cup of tea, you can't get enough water in it from the top, needs a smaller kettle. The chairs look like they have seen better days and look like they need a good clean. Will wait to see what the breakfast is like in the morning, but at the moment I couldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, when we come down again, will look for somewhere else to stay
