About Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Woking
A warm cookie on arrival is the kind of small touch that sets the tone at Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Woking, a 170-room hotel spread across seven floors on Victoria Way. Rooms come with modern furnishings, en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, with family and accessible options available, and the general feel is one of comfortable, well-kept space rather than anything cramped or dated.
The morning buffet breakfast draws particular praise for its range of hot options, while the on-site restaurant and bar cover the rest of the day, alongside room service and drinks brought straight to your door. A gym is on hand for anyone keeping up a routine, and the hotel also has meeting rooms, business services and a wedding venue for those visiting for work or celebrations, plus a garden and outdoor seating for downtime. Staff are consistently noted for being friendly and helpful, which goes some way to making up for on-site parking being chargeable and, at busy times, limited.
Woking's Victoria Place Shopping Centre, along with nearby restaurants and entertainment venues, sits within easy reach, and rail links from the town give quick access into London. A golf course, pubs and further eateries are also close by, making this a practical base whether the visit is for business, a weekend away, or simply passing through.

Friendly efficient staff. I was really early due to having a lunch booked in London for 1pm. Even though I asked if I could just leave my case the Receptionist found me a room that was ready and it was a deluxe room on the 6th floor (I love a high floor!). Room was great, spacious, clean and quiet. When I came back later the restaurant/bar staff were also smiley, friendly and efficient. Will definitely stay here again, great value for money, about a 15 minute walk to the station, lots of nearby shopping, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

The hotel itself is modern, clean and well presented, with good quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The location is convenient and the rooms were comfortable enough for our overnight stay. Unfortunately, what really let the experience down was the level of customer service. We stayed on a busy Saturday, and I completely appreciate that hotel staff can be under pressure, but basic courtesy costs nothing. On arrival, the first member of the reception team came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. Thankfully, a second member of staff, who I believe may have been a supervisor, stepped in and handled the situation much better, which helped recover the experience somewhat. However, the same issue continued on departure. I simply asked for directions from reception to the car park and was met with a rather abrupt response of “over there, turn left at the lift”, delivered in a tone that made me feel as though I was asking a silly question. There was no “thank you for staying”, “hope you enjoyed your stay”, or even a simple goodbye. The hotel has plenty going for it, but hospitality is about people as much as it is about rooms. A smile, a please, a thank you, and a friendly farewell can make all the difference. Unfortunately, that was missing during our stay.

A very well presented, clean, modern hotel. Perfect for a short break or business stay. Hotel staff are very polite and helpful. Breakfast is buffet style, with everything you would expect. I would definitely return.

Stayed here for a wedding in the Woking area and the staff were sweet on arrival, the WARM complementary COOKIE was delicious and the room was clean and had everything we needed for a nights stay. I’ve stayed at many DoubleTree hotels in my time and will continue using them as they’re affordable and always in a great location.
