What visitors say
Spectacular Palace with self guided tours. Incredible history. The best part of the day was the £5 "buggy" ride through the gardens. Incredible variety of large beautiful trees, a wonderful waterfall and beautiful lake.

So much to do here !! It's impossible to do it all in a day. Amazing new play park for children, walked gardens , the palace itself, massive grounds. A gorgeous day out. If recommend upgrading to the annual pass, it works out much better !

A great day out, lots to see. It's a shame things started closing so early (16.45 last entry, last train etc) as there wasn't time to see everything. The good thing is that the daily ticket and annual pass are the same price, so you can visit again, but as I don't live in it UK that's not really an option for me.

I once went on a field trip here. It's a magnificent castle, grand and opulent, and endlessly fascinating to explore. There are many points of interest, including galleries showcasing paintings and antique furniture, a large garden designed by the renowned landscape architect Capability Brown, and various activity areas. There's also a souvenir shop and a café. It's a historically significant location and has been used as a filming location for several period movies. During my visit, I learned that this is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Also the palace is known for its masterpiece architecture and attracts many tourists. I highly recommend by the way; it's a beautiful and captivating place, perfect for enjoying coffee or tea on a nice day. It was a perfect afternoon field trip for me.
