About Chapel Farm Meadows
In a splendidly rural corner of eastern Wales, close to the English border, Chapel Farm Meadows is a tiny family-run site where the loudest intrusion tends to be the bell from nearby St Mary's Church or the resident birdlife – woodpeckers, jays, buzzards and curlews are all regular visitors. Despite the peaceful, remote feel, you're actually less than half a mile from the A525, putting the Shropshire market town of Whitchurch just ten minutes away for provisions or a pub meal.
Facilities are deliberately simple: think portable toilet, chemical disposal and picnic tables, though there's no hot water on site. It's a fair trade-off for this spectacular location, which puts you on the doorstep of Fenn's, Whixall & Bettisfield Mosses National Nature Reserve – an area of raised bog and heathland alive with dragonflies and butterflies – and Brown Moss, both about fifteen minutes away. Pitches accommodate tents, trailer tents and tourers on grass or hardstanding, with electric hook-up optional and dogs welcome year-round.

What visitors say
"Great little family-run campsite! The facilities are incredibly clean and well looked after by the management. It’s very quiet at night, and waking up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning is incredibly calming. Excellent location, too, with local towns and supermarkets close by if required. Highly recommended!"

Chapel Farm Meadows is a lovely little place for a getaway. We made a spontaneous trip here and booked on the morning of our arrival, and we were greeted by Jed, who was very welcoming and accommodating. The site has toilets and showers, we didn't use the showers, but the toilets were clean and accessible. While there are only two toilets which might put some people off, it didn't bother us at all and they were always clean whenever we needed them. There is a really relaxed atmosphere throughout the site that makes it easy to unwind. I would definitely recommend it and would love to come back!

This little campsite is fantastic, has everything you need for a comfortable camping stay: water point, washing up area, clean well stocked toilet and shower facilities, quiet area with few neighbours, but very close to a little town for shopping needs, fuel station/supermarket/eateries literally within a 5-10 minute drive. Great area for walking, bird spotting (saw a few red kites), star gazing and just relaxing. Host was brilliant, really down to earth and very helpful. Slept the best I have in years, and was a very well needed, impromptu break away from home.
