Tybroughton House

Photo: Tybroughton Hall B and B

Whitchurch sits where three counties meet, and from this converted barn you're positioned to explore all of them. Rolling countryside spreads in every direction, with views towards the Welsh hills. The Sandstone Trail runs through the area for walkers; Chester, Shrewsbury and several castles are within reasonable reach, as is Snowdonia if you want to venture further into Wales.

Tybroughton House has five bedrooms across 10 sleeping spaces, including two super-king rooms, a ground-floor king with disabled access and wet room, a twin, and a bunk room. Four bathrooms plus a downstairs WC mean large groups don't queue. The converted barn itself has genuine scale: a sitting room with a woodburning stove that seats ten, a separate TV room, a bar area, and a kitchen with two ovens, a five-ring hob, air fryer, coffee machine and two dishwashers opening onto a dining space in a glass extension. The whole property is yours alone. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. There's an indoor tennis court for entertainment on quieter days, and EV charging if you need it. No smoking indoors. The rental runs from 4pm on arrival and you leave by 10am.

A very lovely place for you or family to stay for a weekend away. I loved the location and the owners were fantastic and went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed.
