About Trench Farm Fisheries and Touring Park

You don't have to be a fishing fanatic to stay at Trench Farm Fisheries and Touring Park… but it does help. This smashing site, a few minutes' drive from Penley and 20 from Wrexham, has three pools stocked with mirror carp, common carp, crucian carp, rudd, roach and tench to busy yourself with. Beyond the angling, though, this 150-acre farm and woodland offers plenty: maps guide you on walks past badgers, foxes, hares, water voles and abundant birdlife, with owls calling during early evenings. The site is dog-friendly (leads required), and there's even a 50-acre solar farm to wander around if renewable energy piques your interest.

Facilities are fairly straightforward – showers, toilets, washing-up area and car parking by each pitch – and with just 11-25 pitches, it maintains a peaceful, remote feel. For further scenic strolls, the Shropshire Union Canal route between Colemere and Ellesmere lies nearby. A solid choice for those seeking wildlife-rich tranquillity, though don't expect bells and whistles beyond the essentials.

Just completing a 5 night October 2022 stay at Trench farm. Very good top quality touring site with caravan storage and excellent fishing lakes. Toilet and shower facilities are spot on modern and clean. Campers kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need including pots and pans. Washer / dryer on honesty to pay a nominal amount to Sylvia for usage. Loads to do in the area with Ellesmereand the mere lakes, Whittington castle, Oswestry and Wrexham to name a few. A real find and we will be returning in the spring

Beautiful surroundings, lovely clean facilities and wonderful owners and staff who always go out their way to be of help. We go as often as possible as its out little piece of heaven and we love being surrounded by nature.

Had a full year going here. Lots of space, count h walks, good shower block. Unfortunately it is closed the whole of 2020 due to Corvd-19.

We love it here, the husband goes fishing and we have some good quality time with the little one and Frenchie of course. Sylvia and Terry are lovely and the facilities are very clean. I always feel relaxed when I have been here. There is lots to do locally, we are off to visit the iron works next time we go and the Wrexham swimming pool has a dounut slide and jacuzzi and not a bad price to take the little ones.
