What guests say
Excellent in every way. Room was clean and spacious with big bathroom. Food was beautiful and the full breakfast was brilliant, and very filling, all usual breakfast items available. All the service through our was very good with all the staff friendly and helpful. Most of the food is locally sourced and homemade. Good outside seating areas. Would certainly stay again. Also a good sized car park.

I went here for my 50th birthday. The room we were put in was beautiful with wood panelling and comfy seats. When my meal came it wasn't as described and I didn't like the taste much so left a lot which I never ever do at restaurants. I ordered the fish fillet on leek and chorizo chowder as I like that kind of soup and like a sauce with fish. What arrived was fish on a bed of something that looked like it was maybe mostly lentils with samphire. The flavour was very fishy. The woodfired pizza was undercooked but the fish and chips was amazing as was the venison pie. The service was great. Be aware that thev new prices are approx 20 percent higher than on the website. All in all a mixed bag in a lovely venue.

Absolutely brilliant experience at The Tickled Trout! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, but what really made the visit unforgettable was the incredible service. Maggie, Rob, and Lauren went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our time there enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble, and they created such a relaxed, enjoyable vibe. The drinks were great, the place had a fantastic energy, and the staff made it feel like a home away from home. Huge thanks to Maggie, Rob, and Lauren for such outstanding service — they’re a real credit to the pub! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not easy to find, trust your nose and go to the very bottom of the road, it's worth it. We went for the food on my birthday. I absolutely loved my order, I had a risotto that was the nicest I've ever had. The pie got a thumbs up from my partner and my son , he liked his burger but it wasn't the type you can bite into so he felt a bit messy. Nice location with interesting knick-knacks around the walls. Service polite and friendly. We'll go again.
