About Cove Bay Hotel

Cove Bay Hotel works well for anyone wanting a quiet, comfortable stopover in Aberdeen rather than a city-centre buzz - couples after a slow weekend, golfers or anglers using the area's courses and waters, or drivers glad of free on-site parking. Rooms are clean and cosy, with drinks available in-room, and the dining area looks out over the sea, making breakfast or dinner a proper part of the stay rather than an afterthought.

The restaurant is a genuine draw, with the venison and a hearty full Scottish breakfast among the dishes people remember, and there's a bar for a slower evening. Staff run a relaxed, welcoming operation, and the hotel adds a garden, free WiFi, 24-hour reception and a meeting room for those mixing business with leisure.

Outside, there's plenty to fill the days: golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports are all nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and walking areas, and Hazelhead Park & Pets Corner gives an easy option for a gentler afternoon. It's a hotel built for settling in rather than rushing through.

What a wonderful surprise! A hidden little gem with outstanding food. We were absolutely delighted. We had the fish cake, the salmon, and the deer (venison) steak. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended!

The highlight of our stay here had to be the food. The main course of Venison with Dauphinoise Potatoes was one of the best main courses I have ever had. The Full Scottish was delicious and very sinful. We had room 4 which has a beautiful newly decorated bathroom. Its well designed and they fit a lot of amenities in a small space. Nowhere to put your soap or shampoo in the shower stall except on the floor ( I find this a lot in hotels and travel with a small suction shelf!). The only annoying thing with the room was that patrons and staff smoke just below and we had to keep closing the window on a warm evening.

Went in for lunch (thanks to Grok in the car). We'd never have found this place on our own. Anyway, dog friendly in the bar area. Menu's available for bar & restaurant though, so that was great. Woman serving us never stopped. Honestly she must do 20,000 steps a day. The food was excellent. Husband had Sea Bass and was delighted. I had a meat feast baguette which was very good. Anyway, this will be our go to place when in Aberdeen. No need to park in the city or worry about bus gates. This place was 2 miles from the roundabout at the Tesla Garage! 😁

Beautiful Hotel with a beautiful view and a coastal path just outside the door and a alpaca farm just round the corner. Bus stop just near the hotel with a direct route to Aberdeen City Centre. Hotel provides Breakfast and Dinner with a seating area what has fabulous views of the Sea. A bar area too. Everything is well sign posted. Old fashioned keys for the room. Staff are very polite and welcoming.
