About Premier Inn Aberdeen South Portlethen

Every room at Premier Inn Aberdeen South Portlethen comes with its own en-suite bathroom, a straightforward setup guests can rely on across all 113 rooms, spread over three separate accommodation buildings on site. Once you've checked in at reception, near the restaurant, you can move your car closer to whichever building your room is in, with free parking available throughout. Rooms also come with the option of room service and drinks, and there's free WiFi for anyone working or streaming during their stay.

Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar for evening meals, plus breakfast to set guests up for the day, though the restaurant experience has been known to vary. Staff are consistently helpful, and the hotel is generally considered good value. Practical extras include an electric vehicle charge point, accessible rooms, 24-hour reception and luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures.

The hotel sits 7 miles south of Aberdeen city centre, with easy access from the A92 and Portlethen Retail Park next door for shopping. Golf, fishing and horse riding are all nearby for guests wanting to fill their time outdoors, and there are pubs and restaurants close by for those who'd rather eat off-site.

Having been at this Premier Inn before we had recommended to a number of people in our club to stay here prior to The Aberdeen Performance Show. Right from the start our group were targeted, classed as 'Young Boy racers' even though our group age ranged from 21 - 50+. We were informed that the hotel did not accept pets however the managers dog roamed freely in and out of the hotel and even had to be told to clear up their mess. on the 2nd day of our stay my husband was approached extremely aggressively by the manager telling us to move our chairs off the car park and we had already been told this (we had but because we were drinking and that area is not licenced). Breakfast was really disappointing and the rude and unkind manner of the staff to our group led to us not wanting to go into the bar or eat at the resteraunt for the rest of the stay. 7am wake up with drills, nail guns and workmen was not the most relaxing. Given 10pm curfews by the staff even though it states clearly quiet time is after 11pm. The list goes on and I for one will never give this hotel my custom again which is a shame as I have never had a bad experience from a Prem Inn before. Cleanliness, staff professionalism and attitude needs serious attention. To be treated they way we were and even followed back to rooms and accused of things we were not responsible for is disgraceful. We have stayed as a Car Club at Buckingham Premier Inn for the last 5 years and always informed how respectful we are. Worst experience ever!

Used the hotel for a 3 night stay whilst exploring Scotland for a week with family. Usual premier inn standards for rooms and service. No diy check in- great to still have a personable service in these times where you're pushed to do everything yourself and everyone avoids contact with each other. Liked the location, only a short drive from Aberdeen centre. No charge for parking and plenty of amenities close by. Brewers Fayre next door which gave good service.

Absolutely terrible weekend away. Staff were absolutely horrendous and treated not only myself but my group of friends like we were scum. Blame was put on us for all the noise even though they had works going on In the hotel. Mess thrown about everywhere from seagulls and bins not being emptied was our fault. And we were told we had to be inside by 10Pm! Will not be going back to this essential prison where anything that could be seen as any other emotion then depression was despised. I’ve attached a photo of how they should rebrand in the future

Rooms were clean and well equipped. Staffing was a bit limited on regular days but Sunday breakfast service had more staff. The service was great and the staff very helpful and courteous. The hotel location is great, easy to find as you just come off the highway between Portlethen and Aberdeen.
