Darroch View occupies the upper floors of a Victorian manse in Ballater, refurbished to blend period character with modern comfort. The property spans two storeys with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, accommodating seven guests across a private, self-contained space. On the first floor, an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area centres on an open fire; two further bedrooms sit upstairs, each with its own ensuite shower room. All bed linen and towels are provided, along with Wi-Fi and heating throughout.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—range cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave included—while a smart TV, heated towel rails and roll-top bath in the ground-floor bathroom add practical touches. Initial fuel for the fire is supplied; additional logs are available locally. Ballater's restaurants, cafés and shops sit within a short walk, or you can cook in. The village lies in Cairngorms National Park, with hillwalking, wildlife watching, cycling and fishing on the doorstep, plus access to ski resorts at the Lecht and Glenshee in winter. Parking for two cars is on site. The property is no-smoking, and travel cots, highchairs and stairgates can be arranged if needed.
