Forvie View

An unconventional layout defines Forvie View. The bedrooms and bathroom occupy the ground floor, leaving the first-floor living room and kitchen to face seaward, with a balcony for outdoor sitting. There are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with twin singles—and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric cooking and a dishwasher. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi and bed linen are included.

The cottage sits near Ellon in Aberdeenshire, within reach of Hackley Bay's clifftop walk and the Forvie National Nature Reserve. Collieston village, a former fishing settlement, lies close by; its sheltered beach suits families, and local shops sell ice cream and drinks. Cruden Bay and Newburgh beaches are within 10 miles, along with golf courses at both locations. The Oldmeldrum distillery and seal colony at Newburgh make for day trips, as does Aberdeen, 16 miles away. One dog stays free at Forvie View. Smoking is not permitted.
