About Pitbauchlie House Hotel
Pitbauchlie House Hotel sits within its own gardens on Aberdour Road, on the edge of Dunfermline, part of the Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western and welcoming guests since 1970. With over 50 bedrooms, it is one of the larger hotels in the immediate Dunfermline area, offering more consistent, straightforward comfort than the smaller country-house properties nearby while still trading on its peaceful, well-tended grounds.
Harvey's Bistro serves informal dining daily, with Bar 47 and Sams Bar offering a choice of settings for a drink, and the hotel holds a Green Tourism Silver Award for its approach to sustainability. Rooms are furnished for both leisure stays and business trips, and the hotel's banqueting facilities see regular use for weddings and conferences.
Its position on Aberdour Road makes the connection to Aberdour itself a straightforward short drive, while the hotel sits equally close to the M90 for onward travel around Fife and to Edinburgh, roughly 14 miles from Edinburgh Airport.

What guests say
Lots of great things about this place, great comfort, clean and had housekeeping which was nice. Amazing restaurant with great food and drink choices, (the best apple pie l've ever had), beautiful view of the backyard and distant mountains, and staff were very friendly. 10 minute walk to bus directly into Edinburgh. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing service and a very clean room! We were so desperate to find a room during peak season after being traumatized by another hotel. The reception staff welcomed us very warmly and accommodated our request incredibly quickly. That guy really saved our lives that night. Kudos to the management! Highly recommended!

Rooms are ok. Absolutely appalling service in the restaurant and the food is pretty poor too. Update. Return 2 months later as it's right next to my customer. Hotel ok. Restaurant service shocking again. 3 tables only 2 eating, 2 members of staff to look after 8 people only 6 eating. Between 15 and 20 minutes sat with empty glasses and empty plates before they eventually could be bothered to take away and see if we wanted dessert. Never asked if we wanted any more drinks or anything. Just do the bare minimum. Really poor from a business perspective too. You want your guests to drink more.

Staff warm and friendly upon arrival. Rooms clean and comfy. Great service in the restaurant, the food portion sizes were plenty and very tasty.
