What visitors say
As this is off the grid and a bit remote, the host is not there to welcome you but all information is clearly given and he’s available for any questions. The cabins are really lovely, far away from each other, it was a lovely break for us. It’s clear that this is a place better enjoyed with a car: so you can do things around and bring everything you need to. But we did manage to come via train and bus, and a little bit of walking! There’s a farm nearby (20 minutes walk) that is absolutely lovely. People, food, alpacas 😃all perfect. The location is good compromise between something remote and calm and something not too far from the city. The cabins are comfortable but the only reason why I give it 4 stars is because the shower was totally clogged and the water went all over the bathroom, and honestly that isn’t nice. I understand this can be fixed (and I’m sure if you choose to visit this lovely place, it will) but for this one trip it wasn’t enjoyable and taking a shower felt like a chore which is not what you want of course. Don’t let this put you off because despite this I am pretty sure whoever comes to this cabin will relax and enjoy. I would recommend it for two (very!!) good friends, a romantic weekend, or perhaps a creative solo retreat :)

Genuinely one of the best off grid glamping sites I've ever stayed at! Only a short drive or taxi into the city and such cheap rates compared to similar places surrounding. It has the perfect balance of daytime city life and the evening camping experience. The pods are brilliant to stay in with a log burner to keep it cozy in winter. I will be going back asap!

Perfect distance from Edinburgh, great for people who want to visit the city but don’t want to pay ridiculous city prices! The location is beautiful, and the the host answered all questions readily and quickly. Would definitely stay again!

The cabin is set in a delightful natural woodland setting. The interior is well thought out, a sofa by the log burner/pizza oven. A well equipped kitchenette, comfortable bed and shower room. There is a general feeling of generosity and welcome from Abhilash. The location is ideal.
