Found this place through the Almost Wild camping book. I stayed on the Forest pitch. It's a steep climb up to reach the pitch that includes a firepit. The owners are wonderfully welcoming and you can see why they love this place. There are composting loos and a shower with cold running water. I didn't try these. There's also water but you'll need to filter this. If you're after a nearly wild experience without the fear of being moved on, this place is lush.

The bunkhouse at middle ninfa farm is a bit nippy but we did decide to come in the coldest part of the year! And they did say it would be chilly if we wanted to find warmer, but its exactly the place I wanted to be! Richard & Rohan are both lovely people and always asking if we need anything and giving us directions to the beauty spots. There is a little stream with a pond right outside the bunkhouse which is fantastic to listen to and can be heard running at night from the sofa bed downstairs. There is woodland and plenty of little footpaths to get lost down, incredible views from certain points on the hillside and the lake near the top(the punchbowl) is beautiful. It has been seriously refreshing being up a hill right next to nature, I really needed this and I can't wait to stay again at one of the camp pitches on site too hopefully in the warmer months! There is also a stove,oven, microwave, toaster and kettle available on site and there is a morrisons not too far in town. There is also a shower and toilet inside the bunkhouse.

Amazing campsite - feels completely wild and secluded. We loved the forest walk and swim in the punch bowl. Our pitch was surrounded bluebells and wild garlic. Great for nearby climbing.

Wonderfully secluded campsite. The pitches are far apart and you feel like you are all by yourself, especially off season. The Punchbowl, a lovely small mountain lake, and a hike up the summit of the Blorenge are all closeby. Same for the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal which is a lovely level walk with houseboat and great views, a short 15 min walk to the south. The hosts Richard and Rohan are very freindly and make you feel welcome. A wonderful campsite which I hope will continue to exist for many years to come.
