A quiet working-farm campsite just outside Crickhowell on the A40

About Pyscodlyn Farm Caravan and Camping Park

Pyscodlyn Farm Caravan and Camping Park offers a quiet working-farm setting just off the A40, moments from Crickhowell's high street yet refreshingly removed from the bustle. Level grass pitches come with electric hook-ups and look out toward the Black Mountains, and the family owners are usually on hand with advice on walking routes up Table Mountain or recommendations for the best local pubs. The modest amenities block keeps things simple, and the unhurried atmosphere outside peak weeks suits campers who value peace over entertainment.

The on-site café is a welcome touch for a farm campsite of this scale, though the facilities overall remain no-frills rather than resort-style. Note that dogs aren't permitted, which may disappoint some hillwalkers. For those with a car wanting a well-located, low-key base for exploring the eastern Brecon Beacons—with Crickhowell's shops, restaurants and nearby fishing, golf and riding all within easy reach—this straightforward site delivers exactly what it promises.

What a lovely campsite! We have a big caravan and the spaces were brilliant- easy access on well kept grass. Just off a main road so no tiny roads to navigate whilst towing and a few minutes drive to local towns. Bathrooms are very clean and showers are super large. My only gripe is that you can’t change the temperature of the water in the shower- we went when it was a heat wave and would have loved a cool shower! We definitely recommend and would book again.

Well I'm here as we speak, on bank holiday Monday. It's a lovely campsite, with great facilities and Emily at the house was so helpful freezing my freezer packs and putting food in the fridge for me. It's been 31 degrees today and the shower was lovely to cool down. If your a biker camping this place is brilliant as you get a really good price. So far I can't fault it, there is a little noise from the road, mostly bikers you can hear as it's a cracking bit of road. It's now 20:30hrs and it's pretty quiet on the road.

A wonderful campsite with a fantastic, quiet location. We stayed in our camper and our pitch was level with no need for adjustment. Facilities on-site were well kept and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owner and staff we're really friendly and people living/staying on-site were also a pleasure. Looking forward to staying here again and would highly recommend for anyone looking to book somewhere in this area.

Lovely little campsite, with a relatively easy walk along the river into Abergavenny (about 2 miles each way). The toilets and showers are modern and clean and the whole site exudes a welcoming feel.
