About Deeside Activity Park
Off to the Aberdeenshire countryside in search of adventure? There's plenty of that at Deeside Activity Park, five minutes' drive from Aboyne. This is a place that's packed with things to do, including quad biking, archery, clay shooting and go-kart racing… all right where you're staying.
Got your eye on some fishing while you're in the area? The River Dee is just down the road for experienced anglers, and there's a well-stocked loch on site too, where you can do catch-and-release fishing, hire kit and take lessons from an expert ghillie to learn the essential techniques.
The camping setup here has a sense of adventure about it, too: this is a wild camping park where you'll need to forego many of the trappings of modern life (although you'll have access to a chemical toilet and a firepit for campfires). Well-behaved dogs are welcome on leads.
All this activity requires a good amount of food – and handily, that's easy to source. The on-site restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch, plus hot drinks and home-baked treats during the day. Or bring a barbecue and source supplies at the farm shop, stocked with award-winning Aberdeen Angus beef from the farm up the road, alongside local pork, sausages, fresh veg, eggs and little extras like local biscuits.

What a hidden gem! Had a great day today at Deeside Activity Park. The Lunch of fresh farm to table meats and veggies were incredible. The hospitality of the staff was amazing. I am traveling from the US with my wife who was off on a horse adventure and I was looking for a way to spend my Sunday. I had a great lunch and a bit of clay shooting with a true Scottish Gentleman!!! Thanks for a great day! Jon Hebert Youngsville, Louisiana

Excellent activity Park - would recommend. We went Go Karting one day and rifle shooting on the next. Both were really enjoyable and very well organised. The instructors were very capable and catered for a wide variety of ages and abilities!

Had such a fun day. The weather was terrible but that didn't stop us having fun. Jack was a great instructor during our activities. We also had lunch in the café which was amazing. Highly recommend.
